Katie Stevens and the other 10 contestants are back tonight to try to advance.
Tonight they have to pick a song that has been #1 on the Billboard charts. This could come from any type of genre, so it could get interesting. For example at the top of the Billboard chart for this week at #1 is "Rude Boy' by Rihanna.
The theme originally set for this week was to be Teen Idols, and for this Miley Cyrus, also known as Hanna Montana was to be the guest mentor to the contestants. Miley will still be there but the selections have been changed. Will this mean that all of the contestants may have had to change their selections at the last minute?
Anyway, the show is on at 8:00 PM on Fox, with the voting starting just after the show. Based on tonight's performance and voting, one of the contestants will be eliminated. This will be announced on the Wednesday night American Idol program.
Tune in for this Middlebury Ct favorite and vote when the show is over. If you don't know the numbers come back and they'll be listed here. Voting goes on for 2 hours after the show is over.

It's Tuesday, and that means another night of American Idol with the friends in Middlebury Ct and surrounding towns tuning in to see how our local girl, Katie Stevens performs.
Tonight's show is down to 1 hour and airs at 9:00 PM on Fox. Katie was closer to her element last week and made the cut to bring herself into the final 10. That was huge, as, this now means she will be included in the summer tour American Idol makes.
Katie Stevens will be exposed to audiences throughout the country and will not only have a cahnce to develope her professional abilities, but with the exposure has a better chance of getting recognized, and quite possibly get her start as an entertainer.
Tonight's show will have R&B artist Usher as the guest mentor. This will be interesting as Katie Stevens has stated repeatedly that Pop and R&B are the styles to which she feels most comfortable. Maybe the mentor will give her the guidance she will need to rock Simon's world tonight.
(Setting the scene, Ballymun outside of Dublin has a reputation as a rough spot) Fifteen minutes into Aer Lingus Flight EI109 from Madrid to Dublin the Plane encounters a serious problem with the Instrument landing systems. In a Fit of Panic, Paddy the Pilot turns to his co-Pilot and says. "Jazus Mick...Well have to turn back...none of the equipment is working!." Mick says to Paddy; "No Problem...Sure I can tell where we are by sticking my hand out the Window! "OK!" says Paddy, "Where are we then?"Mick winds down the window and sticks his hand out and replies; "Well Paddy, I reckon were over the Bay of Biscay. The humidity seems to be gone out of the air. This is caused by the seawater. Just Head North""Brilliant!" replies Paddy, and precedes north bound. Fifteen Minutes later Paddy asks: " Where are we now Mick?"Mick winds down the window and sticks his hand out and replies; " Were over the English Channel now. The air is much cooler here. Just head in a north easterly direction."Thirty minutes Later Paddy asks: " Where are we now Mick?" Mick winds down the window and sticks his hand out and replies; "Were over the Ballymun flats. Quick...Bank left here and you should be on Course for Runway One. Paddy, Responds and 5 minutes later the plane lands safely on Runway One. Paddy turns to Mick and says: "That was Brilliant...But...Tell Me . How did you know we were over the Ballymun Flats". "Well!" said Mick...When I pulled my hand back in.. My Watch was Gone!"
An American tourist was driving in County Kerry, when his motor stopped. He got out to see if he could locate the trouble. A voice behind him said, "The trouble is the carburetor." He turned around and only saw an old horse. The horse said again, "It's the carburetor that's not working." The American nearly died with fright, and dashed into the nearest pub, had a large whiskey, and told Murphy the bartender what the horse had said to him. Murphy said, "Well, don't pay any attention to him, he knows nothing about cars anyway."
Tonight at 8 PM on Fox, Katie Stevens and 11 other contestants perform live during the fourth voting round. The show is a two-hour, theme-based episode. The contestants are limited to choosing songs by the Rolling Stones.Last Thursday, Stevens nabbed the last spot in the Top 12. She survived another round of tough criticism from the judges after she sang original Idol Kelly Clarkson's "Breakaway." Judges maintained that Stevens hadn't clearly defined the type of artist she wants to be.
Katie Stevens has also been criticised by the judges for not singing songs representative of her age. The Stones have made an incredible impact on Rock, and to think of some of their hits is to wonder how a 17 year old girl can pull it off
Results of the night will be announced at 9 p.m. Wednesday.
It's Time To Spring Ahead
Well we are happy about getting closer to Spring, but not about losing one full hour of sleep! How do we get ahead and lose all at once like that?Daylight Saving Time, arrives tonight. There are benefits to the extra hour of 'awake' time, more time to cross things off the to do list, some will now be able to get in a round of golf before work, an extra hour of exercise time, ok, maybe not that much, but there is so much we can achieve with an extra hour. What will you do? Whatever it is, enjoy and don't forget to set the clocks ahead tonight to avoid confusion tomorrow. Remember, if you snooze you lose. Oh, that's right, we lost already didn't we; we lost an hour of sleep.

The judges were harsh on her last week and questioned her song selection as being too old for her age, and her dress as 'looking like her mother dressed her for the prom'. At the end of the voting, however, she had won enough people with their voice and personality to move on.
Many of the other contestants were likewise treated harshly, but understandably so when it's understood that they are trying to win a talent contest that rewards them with a recording contract and potentially sets their future on a fast path.
