We will soon be starting the spring season in Real Estate. By the calendar, we officially start spring on March 9, (Don’t forget to set your clocks back). But, the market is already beginning to percolate and people are making inquiries into placing their house on the market, or starting the home search process. The difference this year is the doubt in some minds as to the soundness of this market.

Whether buying or selling, people want the best value in their real estate transaction. With the market in it's current state, all the participants must recognize the true market value of the property, and hopefully a common ground will be achieved. If you’re thinking of selling, now is the best time to contact your Realtor to not only get a true market price of your home, but also ask for an objective opinion as to how your home will look in the current market. Now is the time to think about maybe a little painting? Or possibly cleaning out the clutter so the house will show bigger?

If you’re buying, then you should have already started the mortgage process with trying to get pre-qualified. Nothing is more frustrating than to be looking at homes that you would like to buy only to find out that you are thousands of dollars outside your price range. Or possibly you have issues in your credit report that need to be resolved before you can begin seriously looking to buy
